Cat brushes and combs
Cats, especially long haired varieties, need regular grooming. When your cat’s molting he will need to be checked regularly for matted hair and fur balls. There are a range of tools for breaking down mattes in your cat’s coat. Grooming should be fun, and your cat should look forward to the time you spend together, so it’s important to find an easy to use grooming tool.
Cat collars and leads
Cats love to roam and climb, so a collar with a safety release is perfect. If your cat gets caught, the collar will stretch or snap, allowing your cat to free himself.
If you want to walk your cat, get him used to walking on a lead before you go out. He will feel less stressed and it will be a more enjoyable outing for both of you. A specially designed cat’s extending lead is ideal for a walk in the country.
Cat tags
Your cat needs a collar with an identity tag. Make sure your home details are clearly marked on the tag, and check regularly to make sure they haven’t worn off. An ID tube contains your home information in a screw tube. This clips onto the cats collar, keeping it safe and secure. Ask your vet about chipping your cat. It’s painless and if somebody finds your cat, they can take it to any vet to have the chip read. The chip will tell the vet your home details, so he can let you know your cat’s whereabouts.
Cat furniture
If your cat loves to climb, checkout the high rise cat beds, where your cat can sleep off the ground. There’s a great design that doubles as a scratching post and a bed. The base is made from sisal and the high rise bed has a soft padded cushion for a base. Your cat will feel safe and secure, and it looks great in any room.
Automatic cat feeders
If you need to feed your cat while you are out, automatic cat bowls and feeders are perfect. They come with one or two timers, so you can program the feeder to open at specific times. If you need to keep the cat food cool during the summer months, have a look at the feeders designed to use ice packs. The food will be kept cool until it’s time for your cat’s tea.
